About Our Driving School
The driving school was established in 1993 by then Greenock Morton footballer Graham Ogg who at 26 years old realised that his football career wasn’t going to last forever and started following his dream of running his own business.
Coincidentally a few months after getting his Approved Driving Instructor licence to instruct Grahams career was cut short by a freak training ground accident while on a week long trial at Preston North End FC left him with a broken leg which ended his dream of a move to England.
Every cloud has a silver lining though and within weeks Graham Ogg School of Motoring was established with the help of the “Princess Trust”, providing learners in Paisley and Renfrewshire with a young instructor in a sporty looking car.
In 1994 Graham Ogg School of Motoring was voted “Most Promising New Business in the Paisley and Renfrewshire Area” and scooped the £1000.00 prise.
Over the years the school has fulfilled that promise and has had the great pleasure of helping over 500 students from all over the world to pass their driving test at the Paisley Driving Test Centre.
In March 2008 the company was rebranded in this age of the internet to GO-driver.co.uk and employs a team of male and female instructors who still hold Grahams ethos of providing fun environment for learning with young instructors in sporty looking cars.
Graham’s unique methods and techniques which have proved so successful over the years are passed on to his current instructors and on to their pupils ensuring the pass rate consistently remains one of the very best in the UK.
Graham still takes a very active part in the company managing the instructors, running the office with the help of office manager Susan (who 10 years ago was a pupil of Grahams) and also takes the time to teach a handful of pupils on occasion.
He also out of the same office manages his other business “West of Scotland Chauffeur Drive Limited” which is an executive chauffeur business offering clients one of the safest and most luxurious transport in the market today since early 2007 as well as still being involved in football in his role as youth coach at Motherwell FC which he has held since 2002.
